Jammin' in Bonolulu!!! | Pink Floyd Live 8 DVD | Expiration Date

Expiration Date

These are the motion menus I created for a short film I made called, Expiration Date. Parodying Quentin
Tarantino's Death Proof, except with shopping carts instead of classic muscle cars, I created the color
scheme, shopping cart logo, and the title text all from scratch. The menus also include music
created specifically for the movie by a great friend and even greater musician, Ryan Sherman.

Into The Maelstrom

(You can click anywhere on the image above to activate and begin playing the QuickTime movie.)

No better way to take the viewer "into the maelstrom" than to have motion menus with movement
through a simulated starfield. These menus demonstrate the power of Apple's iDVD application,
as all assets from the starfield background to the overlay text to the accompanying audio
were compiled there.

Pink Floyd: The Reunion Concert

(You can click anywhere on the image above to activate and begin playing the QuickTime movie.)

Another foray into 16:9 anamorphically-enhanced menus. A simple motion menu design with a
slow-moving blue sky background with audio playing from Pink Floyd's reunion appearance at
the Live 8 concert in London, England. Click here for additional images and more
information regarding this DVD.

Nathan Oliver Viral Reel

(You can click anywhere on the image above to activate and begin playing the QuickTime movie.)

A very simple motion menu created for my friend and frequent collaborator, Nathan Oliver.
He wanted a video game motif, and what better game to choose than the NES classic
with your favorite "virus" fighter, Dr. Mario. With the exception of the video game
backplate, this menu was created entirely in DVD Studio Pro.

Hollywood Headshots

(You can click anywhere on the image above to activate and begin playing the QuickTime movie.)

Accompanying the various still menus for the Hollywood Headshots DVD, I also created motion
menus for the chapter selections, as I am very much a fan of seeing parts of the main feature
play when selecting a chapter. You can view the still menus of the DVD by clicking the
DVD Still Menus link above, or by clicking here.

Night Surf

(You can click anywhere on the image above to activate and begin playing the QuickTime movie.)

My very first title to feature motion menus. Teaching myself the basics of Adobe After Effects,
I made a simple composition with the beach and waves in the background with the title
and text buttons placed on top. Also features the movie playing various parts during
the chapter selections menus, much like my subsequent work on Hollywood
Headshots
. You can also view the still menus of the DVD by clicking the
DVD Still Menus link above, or by clicking here.
